우울증 환자 13,754명을 대상으로 한 연구로, 중국 특허약과 항우울제 병용 치료의 효과를 평가하였다. 병용 치료가 항우울제 단독 치료보다 더 나은 효과를 보였으며, 특정 조합이 최적의 치료 옵션으로 나타났다. 연구의 한계로는 다양한 연구 디자인과 질적 차이가 존재하여 결과의 일반화에 어려움이 있었다.
