사프란이 류마티스 질환 환자의 질병 결과 및 동반 질환에 미치는 영향을 요약하기 위해 체계적 검토가 수행되었다. 125개의 보고서 중 7개가 포함되어 5개의 무작위 대조 시험이 분석되었으며, 대부분의 연구에서 편향 위험이 우려되었다. 그러나 한약 개입의 표준화 및 내용에 대한 정보 부족으로 인해 결과의 방향성을 확립하기에는 증거가 부족하다.
