Does non-implanted electrical stimulation reduce post-stroke urinary or fecal incontinence? A systematic review with meta-analysis.

894명의 피험자를 대상으로 한 연구에서, 비이식 전기 자극이 뇌졸중 후 요실금의 심각도를 줄이는 데 효과적임을 보여주었다. 메타 분석 결과, 조기 치료가 위약 또는 치료를 받지 않은 경우보다 효과적이라는 결과가 도출되었다. 그러나 대변 실금에 대한 연구는 부족하여 추가적인 연구가 필요하다.
