본 연구는 무릎 골관절염에서 전침과 경피적 전기 신경 자극의 통증 조절 효과를 비교했다. 13개의 연구가 포함되었으며, 전침의 통증 완화 효과는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았으나, 고주파 경피적 전기 신경 자극은 유의한 효과를 보였다. 전침은 두 번째로 효과적인 치료 옵션으로 나타났으며, 향후 연구가 필요하다.
