이 연구는 Cimicifuga racemosa, Hypericum perforatum, Agnus castus가 갱년기 증상에 미치는 영향을 평가하기 위해 여러 무작위 대조 시험을 분석했다. Cimicifuga racemosa 단독 요법은 위약보다 효과가 없었고, Cimicifuga racemosa와 Hypericum perforatum의 조합이 갱년기 증상 개선에 긍정적인 효과를 보였다. 그러나 연구 간의 결과 차이가 커서 결론을 내리기 어렵다.
